A lot of attention is given to the functional components of a pressure screen - the cylinder, rotor and column bearing - while the screen body is often overlooked. Improper internal fits, erosion of the body walls and damage to the nozzles/flanges can lead to a significant decline in performance. It is essential that screen bodies be inspected for wear on a regular basis along with the functional components to enable timely repairs and the avoidance of costly capital replacement purchases.
AFT has the experience and knowledge to methodically evaluate the condition of your screen and provide you with the information needed to make timely cost saving decisions. A typical pressure screen inspection will include a drive system check, an evaluation of the integrity and wear patterns for screen cylinder and rotor, as well as an assessment of the screen body wear patterns.
Inspection data can be also be monitored over time in our Wear Monitoring data system in order to produce trend patterns over time and build a predictive maintenance plan.
